Tower Free Library
A project started by residents of the Tower District to bring more reading into our community with "little free libraries" outside of homes and businesses.
Current Fundraising Efforts
The Tower Free Library is a community driven project, located in the Tower District of Fresno, California. Our goal is to bring the community together through reading, by building and placing 8 “little free libraries” throughout the neighborhoods. The Fresno Ideaworks has donated and has helped build 7 of the library units, but we need to raise additional funds for materials such as: primer, paint, wheels, brushes and acrylic for the doors of the boxes.
Any additional funds that are raised will be used for things like book labels, maintenance and repair, postcard maps, and additional supplies that we may need along the way.
Please feel free to visit us on Facebook

Thank you so much for your support!
Fresno Mini Maker Faire
As Psychic Bella working with the community in Tower District is my main goal, to make the world a better place, so it's easy to see from day one why I've been 100% on board with supporting and helping this amazing community project succeed in every way possible, we'll be sharing fundraiser posts, Meghan Melissa the wonderful woman who has catalyzed this popular meme found often shared on Facebook into a manifested community dream for people to share books, will be there to answer any and all questions about the project efforts, needs and what you can do to help!
The word in the community forums online is that we'll have local artists putting the final touches on the Free Libraries that are almost finished and ready to be put out on sidewalks and in front of businesses and homes for all members of the community to share.
This is a great way to physically see just how active we are in the Tower District Community, so stop on by, become a part of the movement and share our fundraiser page to ensure that costs and supplies are covered 100%, we've already had the help from the amazing people at Fresno IdeaWorks to assist in providing a space and people to help us build these public libraries but costs are out of pocket so let's all pitch in and reach this very easy and already more than half way there $300.00 goal!
Fresno's community workshop. Prototyping, building, designing, and building our community of makers!
What began as the desire of a small number of people to have access to modern prototyping equipment has grown to be Fresno's home for the Maker Movement.
What is the "Maker Movement"? The book "Makers: The New Industrial Revolution" spells it out quite effectively. In short, manufacturing has been democratized by modern technology. The places that benefit most from this new paradigm aren't the traditional hubs of industry with their access to seaports and raw materials. They are the places where smart, creative people have something that pulls them together as a community. Places where they can collaborate on projects of ranging importance, from silly to world changing.
Fresno Ideaworks is a community center, a prototyping lab, an idea incubator, and a third space. With full traditional industrial arts shops, modern prototyping, and art spaces we provide the equipment and community needed to see virtually any idea make the leap from mind to matter.
Bring your ideas, we have the rest.

Who are The Wizard's?
WWF is run by a dedicated hobbyist who does blacksmithing demonstrations at local county fairs, renaissance faires, local museums and charities.
Wizard's Workshop and Forge is run by myself Steven Jacobs and the wonder help of my wonder wife Joanne Hoover. We both are very involved in historical reenactment with renaissance faires (20 years experience), Victorian events, old west/49'r events and now recently Steampunk events. I have been involved with blacksmithing for around 10-12 years after running into a smith at a Ren faire by the name of Art Adams from Fresno CA. I took a years worth of classes from him, but got distracted by that "work" thing. About 6 years ago I found that the California Blacksmith Association meets in the next town over. Been with them since on a regular basis. Now that I'm retired from that "work" thing I've been dedicated much more time to learning more of this craft, for I figure I'll never learn it all. This page will also feature some of my steampunk creations. Some of which will be presented in an instructional format.
From erecting workshops into live Zeppelins, Hosting Carpet Bag & Steampunk Gun DIY Workshops and specializing in cosplay background from here to The Next Generation and beyond, you surely can't miss the fun The Wizards have! Stop on by I know I'll be sure to see you there!
